Did EA College Football Snub Shedeur Sanders From Cover?

Fans took to social media to share their opinions of EA College Football 25 not featuring Shedeur Sanders on the cover. While some sources claim people are mad, most people seemed to be fine with it. In fact, some even made jokes…

Of course, there were people who questioned the omission, purely out of consideration for Sanders’ popularity.

But others seemed to be fine with teammate Travis Hunter making the cover, instead.

Overall, it definitely seems to be a cause of several debates on X. While some people think he deserves a spot, others are relieved. The Colorado QB has gained a lot of love and hate since he and his father joined the team last year. They’ll have to silence the haters in Year 2 after a rough finish to the 2023 season.

It now raises the question. Does Shedeur Sanders belong on the cover, and is Travis Hunter the better choice?

Should Shedeur Sanders have been on the EA Sports College Football 25 Cover Instead of Travis Hunter?

Shedeur Sanders is an exceptional athlete with the talent to do great things in College and beyond. However, we actually feel Travis Hunter was a better candidate for the EA Sports College Football 25 Deluxe Edition, and here’s why.

Firstly, as a dual-position player, Hunter is extremely exciting to watch. Whether he’s catching balls for touchdowns or interceptions, you always have to keep your eyes on him. Secondly, Hunter has a less divisive personality. Furthermore, the Deluxe cover now features three players on the foreground with different positions. Sam Ewers fills the QB role, Donovan Edwards the RB role, and Hunter the WR/CB role. It’s a nice blend of positions to work with.

Sanders is extremely confident, which is perfectly normal. After all, he’s a great QB who gets to learn and work with one of the greatest athletes of all time. However, Shedeur Sanders is always seemingly involved in some sort of drama. Whether it’s the beef with Xavier Worthy, or promoting merchandise at halftime, it’s always an ugly PR mess. Furthermore, he and the team struggled in 2023 after a hot 3-0 start.

Before you start grabbing your pitchforks, remember that this cover is just the Deluxe Edition. We still have yet to see the game’s standard cover, which could just as well feature multiple athletes. Furthermore, it still seems like a win for Colorado as a school who gets to see one of their own players grace the cover. Heck, if my school somehow went 4-8 and made next year’s game cover, I’d be hyped.
