Georgia Tech vs. Virginia Tech: The #16 Hokies swept the Yellow Jackets in a three-game weekend series. Virginia Tech got the series started the right way by scoring six runs in the first inning of Game 1, on their way to an 8-4 victory. Everyone in the starting lineup for the Hokies reached base safely at least once in the game. Addy Greene got the scoring started with a two-run home run in the first inning, and then Virginia Tech wrapped up the game with a two-run homer in the sixth inning by Cori McMillan. In Game 2, once again Virginia Tech started the game with a Greene 2-run home run in the first inning on their way to a 10-4 win. Trinity Martin hit a three-run pinch-hit home run in the third inning and Michelle Chatfield hit a solo blast in the fourth for the Hokies. In the third game, Virginia Tech once again scored six innings in the first inning, and the Hokies on 11-2 in five innings. Michelle Chatfield hit her second solo home run of the weekend in the second inning. Georgia Tech's Tiffany Domingue hit home runs in both Game 2 and Game 3.
