Need a cure for the Monday blues? We've got you covered.
Let's kick off the week on a strong note with my three favorite home run props for Monday's MLB slate.
With a smaller slate on deck for Monday night, you know we have to target Coors Field for one of our home run picks. I'll roll with Lourdes Gurriel, who has hit safely in 11 of his last 13 games. Gurriel also leads the Arizona Diamondbacks in hits (15), home runs (four), and RBIs (seven) over the last two weeks. A hot bat and the altitude in Denver is always a good combo for a dinger, so let's ride the +370 here.
The Los Angeles Angels have struggled mightily at the plate for weeks, but that doesn't apply to Shohei Ohtani. Ohtani is batting .318 with eight home runs and a 1.169 OPS over the last month, and he's hit safely in 15 of his last 17 games. Texas Rangers starter Max Scherzer has been susceptible to the long ball all season, and he's going to be in trouble tonight in his first career matchup against the best player in baseball.
Misprice alert!
Wilmer Flores has been absolutely on fire for the San Francisco Giants. The first baseman leads the team in batting average (.358), home runs (seven), slugging percentage (.716), and OPS (1.127) over the last month, and he's staring down a great matchup Monday night. Flores has faced Tampa Bay Rays starter Tyler Glasnow only five times in his career, but he's hit two home runs in those five at-bats. This price is +480 over at FanDuel, so we couldn't click submit on the +700 fast enough.
