Stefano Pioli explains how Genoa change without Albert Gudmundsson and is sure Milan fans will suspend their protest when ‘they see the right attitude’ from players.

It kicks off at San Siro at 17.00 UK time (16.00 GMT).

You can follow all the build-up and action as it happens from today’s five Serie A games on the LIVEBLOG.

“The team is concentrated for an important match against a team that is relaxed and that could allow them to play at their best,” Pioli told DAZN.

Gudmundsson is Genoa’s top scorer and helped them secure Serie A safety with plenty of time to spare, but he is not in the squad this evening after coming down with flu symptoms.

It means Caleb Ekuban instead steps in to partner Mateo Retegui, but how does this change Genoa?

“Gudmundsson is a quality player who has done very well, he can play between the lines, so this way they will be playing with two more pure attacking players, one very quick, the other strong in the box.”

Pioli on Milan ultras protest

The Rossoneri want to secure second place for this season after already guaranteeing Champions League qualification, but the fans have pledged to sit in silence today in protest at a disappointing campaign.

There are also no banners, no flags and no cheers for the team from the Curva Sud. How can Pioli and his squad get the rest of the stadium on side?

“We have to play a real game, a focused one and try to get the win. I am sure the fans will cheer us on when they see the right attitude.”

Theo Hernandez and Fikayo Tomori return from bans, but Davide Calabria and Yunus Musah are suspended, with Mike Maignan, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Simon Kjaer and Luka Jovic injured.
