Adam Copeland already 'upset' following an AEW promo

Adam Copeland has been in AEW for less than a month. The WWE Hall of Famer has had one in-ring match so far. However, AEW has quickly utilized Copeland's mic skills, throwing him into multiple promos. Copeland's most recent promo came at the start of Collison.

Unfortunately, the unscripted back-and-forth with Ricky Starks has left a bad taste in both mouths. Starks made an ill-advised comment that linked back to the night Owen Hart lost his life at WWE "Over the Edge." Copeland accused Starks of being a rip-off version of "The Rock." 

In a recent episode of "Wrestling Observer Radio," Dave Meltzer revealed that Copeland and Starks were both upset with what had been said between them. 

 “It was awkward," Meltzer said. "I mean, it was very clear that something got started, and they were, at that point it was not scripted. One of them got a little bit mad and the other one got mad back ... They’re professionals, and they finished it ... You know, it was that vanilla m— line, like wow, what a terrible line, you know what I mean? It was just brutal.”

Copeland is the latest big name to join AEW. He has brought a real buzz back to the company. A budding feud with former tag-team partner Christian Cage is one of the hottest topics in wrestling. 

However, Copeland has spent his entire career with WWE, where promos are scripted, and the company has more control over what's said.
