Ricky Starks: Working In AEW Is Awesome, Tony Khan Is A Great Dude

Ricky Starks loves working in AEW and for Tony Khan.

The former FTW Champion recently lost the AEW Tag Team Championships to Sting and Darby Allin. He also wrestled some amazing singles matches over the past year, that included bouts against Bryan Danielson and CM Punk last year.

Ricky Starks spoke with Sportskeeda, and was asked about what it is like working for AEW. He replied that it was “awesome”, and that he got to do things like working with Sting.

“It’s great. It’s been awesome, it’s actually allowed me and afforded me the ability to have visibility to people who have never seen me before, outside of the NWA. You know, it’s been really, really fun. I got to wrestle Sting! I’m able to use this vehicle to meet people I’ve thought about ad seen in magazines and all that.”

Later on in the interview, the interviewer asked Ricky Starks what it was like working for Tony Khan. He said that he is a very nice man, and that people should not have these preconceived notions about the AEW boss.

“He’s a great dude. He really is. I’ve never met someone as nice as he is. People always assume someone in that position, someone in that tax bracket, is gonna be a certain way. He isn’t like that. He’s a very, very sweet man, and I think people need to realize that. We are a start-up company. We are all just trying to figure this out.”
